Veterinary Externships & Volunteer Opportunities

Yuma Veterinary Clinic offers volunteers and veterinary student externs the opportunity to gain real, hands-on clinical experience in a busy, mixed-animal practice. Our volunteers and student externs are expected to be very hands-on and work as part of our team during their time with us — caring for everything from companion animals to equine, livestock, and exotics.

Veterinary Externships & Volunteer Opportunities in Yuma, AZ

Veterinary students in their clinical year are given priority for externship scheduling. We strive to offer the chance to assist with case work-ups and treatment plans alongside our doctors, and because our clinic is so diverse and fast-paced, it’s a rich environment for veterinary and veterinary-technician students from across Arizona and the surrounding region to learn.
